classes/Url.php in Justin Hagstrom AutoIndex PHP Script before 2.2.4 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (CPU and memory consumption) via a %00 sequence in the dir parameter to index.php, which triggers an erroneous “recursive calculation.”

The weakness was published 11/12/2007 by L4teral (Website). The advisory is available at autoindex.sourceforge.net. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2007-5984 since 11/14/2007. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn’t require any form of authentication.
